The rich monotony of the zone of trees. Forest or fruitful, carelessly combined. Which shield the pleasance from the intemperate east" Taken from Chapter 31. Aspects of the History of Ongar, Landmark trees". Ongar Millennium History Society
Remarks & Tree condition:
This tree stands in grounds of The Pleasance garden and carpark between Ongar Castle and Ongar Library on the High Street. One of Ongar's land mark trees.
