Reason for nomination:

• This tree stands on an old ditch or hedgerow boundary on Harold's Park Farm. This tree may well be old enough to have once stood within the boundary of Nazeingpark common before boundary changes of 1651. The 1881 OS Map shows 14 trees along this boundary. Today, in 2007 half remain.
